Day 1

  • Fly to Boston
  • Holiday Inn-Express

Today we will fly to Boston as we begin our journey to New England to view the magnificent Fall Colors.

 

Day 2

  • Breakfast, Dinner
  • City Tour of Boston
  • Tour Lexington and Concord

This morning, we will sightsee historic Boston and the communities of Charlestown and Cambridge.  You will view the Freedom Trail, the U.S.S. Constitution, the Old North Church, Faneuil Hall, Harvard University, the Boston Commons, and the site of the Boston Tea Party. This afternoon, we will follow the route of Paul Revere's immortal ride of "April 18th, 1775" through Lexington and Concord.  The dramatic events which led to our Revolutionary War will unfold at every turn in the road and be climaxed by a visit to Concord's renowned Minute Man Statue.  We'll also see Walden Pond and the homes of Hawthorne, Emerson, and Louisa May Alcott, Concord's literary legends.

 

Day 3

  • Breakfast, Dinner
  • Tour to Kennebunkport, Maine and Gorham, New Hampshire
  • Town & Country Inn

This morning we will head north to the quaint Maine seashore village of Kennebunkport.  Our sightseeing will include viewing the seaside home of former President George Bush.  Then it's off to Portland and, then, through the beautiful Maine countryside as we head to Gorham, New Hampshire, in the heart of the White Mountains.

 

Day 4

  • Breakfast, Dinner
  • Conway Scenic Railroad

After breakfast, we'll whistle through the Mt. Washington Valley on the Conway Scenic Railroad.  You will love its Historic 1874 North Conway Depot, listed in the National Register of Historic Places.  This afternoon, we'll sightsee the Lake Winnipesaukee area, Franconia Notch, Crawford Notch, and Bretton Woods, site of the 1944 Bretton Woods Monetary Conference.

 

Day 5

  • Breakfast, Dinner
  • Tour to Montpelier, Burlington, & Rutland Vermont 
  • Visit Shelburne Museum
  • Best Western Inn & Suites - Rutland

Today, we will sightsee northern New Hampshire and Vermont as we visit its state capital, Montpelier, and Burlington, on the shores of Lake Champlain.  At the Shelburne Museum, you can see 100 acres of Americana, including the side-wheeler steamboat Ticonderoga, a covered bridge, a country store, an old schoolhouse, a blacksmith shop, a jail, a stagecoach depot, and authentically furnished 18th and 19 century houses.

 

Then it's on to our beautiful hotel in the heart of Vermont's Green Mountains.

 

Day 6

  • Continental Breakfast, Dinner
  • Tour to Burlington and Plymouth Union, Vermont

We'll tour southern Vermont today as we vist Bennington, known for its ultra-progressive college and the Revolutionary  War heroes, the famous "Green Mountain Boys," Weston, and Plymouth Union, site of Calvin Coolidge's birthplace and gravesite.

Day 7

  • Continental Breakfast, Dinner
  • Tour to Woodstock & Quechee Vermont, Hanover, Concord, New Hampshire & Boston
  • Fly Home

Our fall foliage extravaganza will continue for one more day as we sightsee the country-side of Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.  This morning, we'll travel a short distance to Woodstock, Vermont with its picturesque shops and restaurants and, then, to Quechee and its famous gorge.

 

Next, we'll tour through lovely Hanover, New Hampshire home of Dartmouth College.  In Concord, New Hampshire we'll view the New Hampshire Capitol before we drive to Boston for our flight home.
