Day 1       

Day 1                   

  • Fly to San Francisco
  • City Tour on arrival
  • Hotel Whitcomb

 

                                Today, we’ll begin our Pacific adventure as we fly to the perfect picture, postcard city by the Bay, San Francisco.  Upon arrival, we’ll tour this gorgeous city viewing such highlights as Chinatown, the Embarcadero, Coit Tower, Nob Hill, the cable cars, Haight-Ashbury, the Civic Center, Union Square, Golden Gate Park, the Presidio, Lombard Street, Mission Dolores, Telegraph Hill, and so much more!

                               

Day 2                 

  • Breakfast, Dinner
  • San Francisco Bay Cruise
  • Cable Car Ride

 

                                This morning, we’ll take a San Francisco Bay sightseeing cruise on which you’ll be able to look up at the Golden Gate Bridge and at the always intimidating Alcatraz.  Later, we’ll hop on a cable car for our journey through the heart of the city. 

 

                                The rest of the day will be your to explore this lovely city.

 

Day 3  

  • Breakfast, Dinner
  • Tour Redwood Highway to Eureka
  • Tour Russian River Valley with stop at Korbel Winery
  • Best Western Humboldt Bay Inn

               

                                We leave San Francisco this morning as we cross the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge.  After a quick drive through artsy Sausalito, we’ll continue to the beautiful Russian River Valley.  You’ll witness redwoods and vineyards as we travel to the Korbel Winery.

 

                                This afternoon, we’ll continue on to Eureka via the Avenue of the Giants, and Ferndale with its Victorian mansions built by butterfat profits. 

 

Day 4  

  • Continental Breakfast, Dinner
  • Coastal 101 Tour to Coos Bay
  • Redwood National Park
  • Best Western Inn at Face Rock Hotel & Suites

 

                                We continue north along the California Coast, this morning, sightseeing Redwoods National Park and lovely Crescent City enroute to Oregon, a truly diverse panorama of redwoods, sea lions, Roosevelt Elk, lighthouses, and coastlines.

 

                                In Oregon, we’ll follow the scenic coastal route to Coos Bay, an active shipping port for forest products - particually the local mytlewood.  How about a bowl or two to take home?

 

Day 5  

  • Breakfast, Dinner
  • Tour along Oregon Coast to Lincoln City and on to Portland
  • Sea Lion Caves
  • Holiday Inn-Express

 

                                Today our seaside touring will include, the Sea Lion Caves in Florence, a 1500 foot cavern home to the wild steller sea lions, and 800 foot high Cape Perpetua.

 

                                We also will stop in Newport for lunch on our own.  Before we head inland to Portland, we will pass through beautiful Lincoln City, a beach city where the world’s shortest river, the “D” River, flows from Devil’s Lake into the Pacific Ocean.

 

 

 

 

Day 6  

  • Continental Breakfast, Dinner
  • City Tour
  • Tour along Columbia River to Hood River

 

                                This morning, we will tour the Rose City viewing the Hoyt Park Arboretum, the Portland Heights residential area, the International Rose Test Gardens, the Japanese Gardens and the Pitlock Mansion nestled in the West Hills area of the city.

 

                                Later, we’ll tour along the Columbia River to Hood River.  Look for the colorful sails of the wind-surfers as this is the wind-surfers’ capital of the world!  Finally, we will follow the inspiring Columbia River back to Portland.  Today will be a day of roses, great rivers, waterfalls, and streams…truly a scenic extravaganza.

 

Day 7  

  • Continental Breakfast, Dinner
  • Sightsee Mt. St. Helen’s
  • Tour to the Olympic Peninsula
  • Quality Inn & Suites - Sequim

 

                                This morning, we’re off to the state of Washington, where we’ll make a stop at the Mt. St. Helen’s Volcano Center for a viewing of the presentation about the dramatic eruption of 1980.  Then we’ll view Mt. St. Helen’s itself, you’ve got to see it to believe it!

 

                                Next, we will travel north as we head to the majestic Olympic Peninsula.  One of our stops will be a picture stop at the State Capitol in Olympia. 

 

Day 8  

  • Cruise to Victoria
  • Victoria City Tour
  • Butchart Gardens Visit

 

                                We’ll cruise round-trip today to Victoria, British Columbia.  Upon arrival, we’ll visit the world-famous Butchart Gardens.  Here we will wander through these gorgeous gardens, rated among the world’s finest – the Sunken Gardens, Japanese, Italian and English Gardens, linked by lawns, streams, and fountains – 16 acres of beauty and fragrance.  We will continue on to a delightful tour of the city of Victoria, which is famous for it’s landmarks assembled around a beautiful and scenic Inner Harbour and it’s gorgeous genteel residential neighborhoods.  We’ll even see Mile 0 the beginning (or end) of the Trans-Canada Highway.  Don’t miss the elegant Empress Hotel or the stately Parliament Building!

 

Day 9  

  • Continental Breakfast, Dinner
  • Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park
  • Tour & Ferry Cruise to Edmonds, Washington
  • La Quinta Hotel

 

                                Today, we’ll experience Olympic National Park as we sightsee Hurricane Ridge.  You’ll witness waterfalls, forests, glaciers and vistas beyond compare.

 

                                This afternoon, we’ll take a short but scenic ferry cruise.

 

Day 10               

  • Continental Breakfast
  • City Tour of Seattle
  • Fly Home

 

                                On our final day in the Pacific Northwest, we’ll see the 605 foot Space Needle, view Chinatown, the University of Washington, Queen Anne Hill, the salmon ladders at the Chittenden Locks, Seattle Center, the Kingdome, the Boeing Airplane Plant, Puget Sound, Fisherman’s Wharf, and much, much more before we head to the Seattle Airport.

 

                                We’ll certainly be returning home with many fine memories or our excursion along our spectacular Pacific Coast!!!
