Today, we'll depart for Atlanta, one of
America's most vibrant cities. Upon arrival, we'll tour to our
beautiful hotel.
Day 2
- Continental Breakfast,

- Stone Mountain Visit
- Tour to Warm Springs & Callaway
Gardens
Before leaving Atlanta this morning, we'll
visit Stone Mountain, the Mt. Rushmore of the South, with the images
of Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis, and Stonewall
Jackson.
Later, we'll tour to Warm Springs, which was
one of Franklin D. Roosevelt's favorite spots and where he died on
April 12, 1945. The "Little White House" looks much the same as when
he found relaxation and benefit from nearby
springs.
Then, it's on to the world famous Callaway
Gardens for a tour. You'll tour the Horticulture Center, Butterfly
Center, the largest free flight butterfly conservatory in North
America and reflect quietly at the Callaway Memorial Chapel. You'll
also step back in time at the Pioneer Log Cabin and see Mr. Cason's
Vegetable Garden, the southern location for the PBS Series, the
Victory Garden.
Day 3

- Tour to Savannah
- Best Western Savannah Historic
District
Highlights of our tour will include Capitol
Square, Coca-Cola Headquarters, Dr. martin Luther King' birthplace,
Peachtree Street, the Governor's Mansion, the exclusive Buckhead
residential area, the CNN Headquarters, plus much, much
more!
Then, it's off to the Georgia country side
to Savannah.
Day 4

Charleston

We'll depart this morning on a tour of this
intriguing city. We'll discover 18th & 19th century buildings,
which have been beautifully restored. We'll also meander
around garden-like squares and down oak-lined lanes. Highlights will
include the Cotton Exchange, Colonial Park Cemetery, Factors Walk,
River Street, and Forest Gump's Bench!
Later, we'll travel to stately Charleston,
South Carolina. En route, we'll tour world-famous Hilton Head
Island, a lovely blend of deluxe resorts, spectacular golf courses,
and wildlife habitats. We'll also visit the quaint seacoast town of
Beaufort.
Day 5

- Historic Charleston City
Tour
- Harbor Cruise
We'll take a comprehensive tour of
Charleston's key sights today, including Charleston Village and the
College of Charleston, established in 1770, the Battery, St.
Michael's Church, City hall, the Old Power Magazine, Dock Street
Theater, Rainbow Row, and many other interesting spots. Charleston
has withstood occupation in wartime, earthquakes, fires, storms, and
Hurricane Hugo but, has come back stronger every
time.
Later, we'll cruise Charleston's famous
historic harbor, where we'll view Fort Sumter, Moultrie and Johnson,
the huge US Navel base, Cooper River Bridge and the beautiful
waterfront mansions.
Day 6

- Carolina Opry Show
- Hilton Hotel
We'll follow the South Carolina Coast today
to the famous resort city of Myrtle Beach. Tonight, we'll take in
the fabulous Carolina Opry Show.
Day 7
- Breakfast, Dinner
- Tour to Asheville, North
Carolina
- Great Smoky Mountains National
Park
- Hampton Inn
We'll tour through the scenic southern
states of North and South Carolina today. We'll travel trough
Charlotte enroute to Asheville and the Great Smoky Mountains. This
afternoon, we'll travel to Cherokee, North Carolina, an Indian
Reservation in the heart of the scenic Smoky
Mountains.
Day 8

- Biltmore Estate
Tour
Today we'll visit the world renowned
Biltmore Estate; the largest private home in America. George
Vanderbilt conceived and commissioned this 250 room French Chateau,
designed by Richard Morris Hunt. You'll learn why Mr. Vanderbilt
thought that Ahseville was the most beautiful place
on
Earth.
Day 9

- Fly Home
We'll return home today, with many fond
memories of our visit to America's lovely southeastern states of
Georgia, North and South Carolina, which have bestowed a unique
heritage on our country.
